Residential Children's Counselor

Full-time Children's Counselor at Shelter. Shifts are Sunday through Thursday; on call/backup one weekend each month. Provides counseling services to child victims/witnesses of domestic violence. Includes intake services, individual, group and family counseling, parenting education for mothers, crisis intervention, advocacy, referrals, and development of community resources, some public speaking involved. BA in related field preferred and/or 2 years direct clinical experience with children in counseling and crisis intervention. Experience with domestic violence and/or abused children is required. Background check also required. E.O.E.
