JOB DESCRIPTION

Hope Today Magazine seeks experienced writers to compose a variety of social and spiritually conscience articles. All writers will work with the Executive Editor as itrelates to producing sound and credible editorial. In addition to the latter, monthly editorial will be fresh, cutting edge, and promote relevant conversation as other established magazines such as; O, GQ, & Essence successfully renders to its readers.



Skills Required:

- Minimum 1-3 years of related writing experience.

- Knowledge of all writing styles.

-The ability to provide thought provoking, creative articles in short turnaround

periods.

- Must be comfortable with deadline pressure.

- Ability to take editor’s direction and not only build upon but also offers ideas in

efforts to produce original articles.

- Demonstrates extensive rules of writing (exp. subject & verb agreement).

- Understands the importance of constructive criticism.

- Ability to work under limited supervision and/with no direction from the editor (the

topic will be provided).

-Posses a solution-oriented attitude when limited information is available and/or

writer’s block.

-Takes initiative to write from unorthodox processes, views, (out-of-the-box) to

further enhance creativity.
