LEASING CONSULTANT POSITION DESCRIPTION



Job Objectives: Market and lease communityˇ¦s available apartment homes and provide customer service to residents at BRE communities.



Supervises: No direct reports.



Compensation: Non-Exempt. Position eligible for pre-approved overtime. For Arizona and Colorado Associateˇ¦s bonus is based on on-site bonus plan. For California and Washington Associateˇ¦s commission is based on on-site commission plan.



Reports to: Community Manager



Essential Job Functions:

„« Lease apartments and sell ancillary products and services.

„« Conduct site tours by showing the prospect the community grounds, all community amenities, model units and available units.

„« Respond to telephone inquiries from prospective residents.

„« Follow up with all current and prospective residents.

„« Follow up with Level One and Internet leads.

„« Maintain prospect, traffic and leasing data.

„« Prepare all lease related paperwork in an accurate and timely manner for manager approval.

„« Follow policies and procedures regarding the qualifications, screening and acceptance of applicants for residency. Prepare for managerˇ¦s review.

„« Inspect units on move-in day to ensure units are ready.

„« Implement community lease renewal program.

„« Assist with financial operations of the community.

„« Assist Community Manager with monthly closing as required.

„« Transport funds to the bank as required.

„« Assist with Marketing Functions. Assist with planning and hosting of resident functions and deliver resident gifts.

„« Participate in company training classes and meetings, as required.

„« Assist Customer Service Representative in processing lease paperwork.

„« Other tasks as assigned.



Attendance: Position requires ability to work any of the seven days of the week, 52 weeks of the year. It is extremely critical that individuals possess the ability to work their scheduled hours plus any other hours necessary to complete the job and must attend BRE training classes as scheduled. Work schedules are subject to change.



Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma preferred.



Experience: Customer service, sales or property management experience preferred but not required.

Licenses: A valid driverˇ¦s license and current automobile insurance is required. Real Estate License (when required by the state).



Equipment: Position requires individual to furnish their own vehicle to make bank deposits, pick up supplies and perform other duties as necessary and/or to operate a vehicle provided by the community to transport prospective residents at the community.
